Discrimination is the unfair or prejudicial treatment of people and groups based on characteristics such as race, gender, age, or sexual orientation. Discrimination is incredibly complex and experienced in so many different ways that it can be difficult to pinpoint the process by which it undermines mental health. We will discuss the domino effects of discrimination and the link between discrimination and mental health disorders. Discrimination does not just affect one person, it affects entire communities!
