We are the only rape crisis center serving the McHenry County area. All our services are FREE. We provide 24/7 crisis intervention through the McHenry County Crisis Line. We provide 24/7 medical advocacy at local hospitals as well as 24/7 legal advocacy at McHenry County police departments. Legal advocacy also includes court accompaniment and support and assistance in obtaining protective orders. We provide counseling services in English and Spanish for ages 3 on up. Counseling services are provided for both survivors and significant others, as well as individuals, couples, and families. We also provide prevention education and professional trainings.
What’s that?
Northwest CASA Advocates will ONLY be responding to hotline calls made to our 888-802-8890 hotline. We will no longer be dispatched through McHenry Crisis Line at 1-800-892-8900. Any calls received from 800-892-8900 will be rerouted to Northwest CASA/CARE Center hotline 888-802-8890
Why?
Federal VOCA funding deficits have prompted a reallocation of staff resources so we can continue to meet the vital needs of survivors.
Now what?
Nursing/Emergency Department staff should call 888-802-8890 immediately upon identification of a survivor of sexual violence. A delay in calling the Advocate could delay response time.
