This session will focus on ethical dilemmas that are intertwined with diversity issues and consider cultural aspects of ethics. Participants will learn about the major diversity dilemma of Intent vs. Impact and use the Diversity Hot Buttons tool to process real-life scenarios. Special attention will be given to the role of unconscious biases.

Participants will:
• Explore the intersection of culture and ethics;
• Examine their diversity-related triggers;
• Identify ways to guard against biases and prejudices in their professional practice.

Presenter:

Tatyana Fertelmeyster is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and an Intercultural and Diversity & Inclusion consultant with extensive expertise in complexities of cross-cultural adjustment, team building, and conflict resolution. Tatyana is a Senior Facilitator for Personal Leadership Seminars and a Lead Trainer of Trainers for Cultural Detective. Tatyana is the past president of SIETAR USA (Society for Intercultural Education, Training, and Research) and is recognized by her colleagues in the Intercultural and Diversity field as a go-to authority in challenging and complex situations.
